Your first session
The first session is an interview, not a test. It lasts 60 minutes.

Before you come
You get my fee in writing and a link to the intake forms on the practice portal. Please keep medical details out of messages sent through this website.

The interview
We talk about your question, your history and what a typical day looks like. You decide how much of your story to tell.

Planning the testing
We agree on what to look at and what it involves: which tests, how many visits and about how long each will take. No testing happens until you agree to the plan.

Before you leave
We choose a next step and a time. I answer any questions about fees and cancellation.
Questions
About the first session
01Do I have to talk about my past?
Only as far as it bears on your question. An evaluation does ask about childhood and school, and you decide how much to say.
02Do I need to prepare anything?
Bring your questions and any earlier reports or school records you have. There is nothing to study beforehand.
03Can I come by video?
Yes, for the interview, if you are in Maryland when we meet. I am licensed here and cannot see clients who are in other states. Some tests must be done in person.
